Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How fast will these go?
In Canada, Ebikes are regulated with a top speed of 32Km/h.  This is much faster then the average rush hour traffic in a city so getting from point A to point B can possibly be faster than with a car.

How far can they go on a charge?
Most models will travel from 40 to 80 km on a charge, this is indicated in this website as "range" in the model description.

How much time does it take to recharge?
Most models will take a full charge in 4 to 8 hours.  Depending on the model, a full charge typically cost between 15 and 25 cents.  The charger works on a regular 120 volt wall outlet and draws about 2 amps.

What is the PDI?
The Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) cost between $99 and $149 for most models, this fee includes the assembly, inspection, and most importantly, the warranty.  Most of our suppliers require the PDI is invoiced at the time of the purchase to activate the warranty, therefore we don't sell any products un-assembled, your Ebike is ready to run with full warranty.

Do you have them in stock?
Yes, we typically stock about 50 units at our Irishtown warehouse.  If you are coming in for a specific model/color, you may call ahead to make sure it is here.  Special ordering is also relatively quick as most ALL our suppliers are based in Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Moncton and Halifax).

eBike Regulations
In Canada, eBikes (power-assisted bicycle) are regulated.  All the eBikes that we sell (bicycle style, motorcycle style, and scooter style) meet section 2(1) of the Canada Motor Vehicle safety regulations act, and each of them bear a compliance sticker.

These products are legal bicycles and the operator should follow all bicycle rules.  Beware of products illegally imported into Canada without the compliance sticker.

Below are examples of eBikes that we sell, you ride them at the same place as a regular bicycle; shoulder of the road, bike trails, etc.  They require no license, no registrations, and no insurance. A helmet is required (same as on a bicycle).
